She currently teaches yoga a Lumina Mind & Body Studios in both Wayland and Natick, as well as the Wayland Longfellow Youth Sports Zone.

Through the use of fluid yoga sequences, breath-work, and guided meditations, teens learn skills for stress reduction and experience a deeper sense of control and harmony with both themselves and others.  200 hour Certified Yoga Teacher Melissa Seastead, LICSW, uses her 20 years of experience as a child and adolescent therapist to offer specific suggestions for mindfulness strategies and functional movement. She provides a safe and fun atmosphere where teens are encouraged to realize their potential by gaining mastery over fears through present focused attention, while simultaneously strengthening and stretching their bodies.
